We’re excited to share what’s coming next in our journey to support young learners and strengthen access to education
From July 15th to August 31st, 2025
- From July 15th to August 31st, 2025, we will be opening applications for a new group of Umoja scholars in Burundi.
We’ll be selecting students who demonstrate academic potential, strong character, and real financial need. More details on the application process will be shared soon on all our socials, including eligibility criteria and how to apply. If you’re a student, parent, teacher, or community member, we encourage you to spread the word.

- During the same period, we’ll be actively looking for sponsors willing to support students financially—whether through one-time or ongoing contributions. We’re also inviting volunteers to join us in roles such as application review, outreach, mentorship, and event planning. If you’d like to make a hands-on difference, this is the time to get involved.

- In September, we’re launching a school supply drive in Goma, DRC, to support ten students affected by conflict. These students have faced unimaginable challenges, and this drive will help them return to school with the dignity and tools they need to keep learning.
